Join artist Sonia Boyce and PEACH on Saturday 16 December 3pm - 7pm, for a festive afternoon. The event is an opportunity to contribute to the Newham trackside wall artwork by sharing your experiences of Custom House, North Woolwich and Silvertown.
Local artist Sonia Boyce is working with the community to create an artwork that will be applied to the Elizabeth line trackside wall running through Custom House, Silvertown and North Woolwich.
Since October workshops have been taking place to train local young people in how to capture oral histories. During this event they will be present and interested to hear about your first hand knowledge and experience of the area. The stories that are captured will be interwoven by Sonia into the final artwork.
People of all ages, backgrounds, long and short-term residents are encouraged to participate.This is a family friendly event and there will be refreshments, music as well as games and opportunities to exchange stories and meet new people.
