Wall Art: Call for Ambassadors


Newham trackside wall commission Call for Ambassadors to work with artist Sonia Boyce Sonia will be creating a mile-long artwork that will be installed on the Elizabeth line trackside wall throughout Newham, the artwork is one of the longest ever commissioned in the UK. To support her work, Sonia is setting up a group of up to 20 local 'Ambassadors', who will act as local advocates for the development of the artwork, and the community engagement activities. The Ambassador's role is to be involved in events and workshops and to spread the word about the project to members of your community and networks, encouraging people to get involved. The Ambassador will support public workshops, working closely with different communities, between now and January 2018, and will also take part in a research trip to Liverpool to study other examples of public art. It is an unremunerated commitment of 2 days to attend the Liverpool trip, and another 2 x 1/2 days to support the workshops.
